Our Recommended Blogging & Online Marketing Tools
Strategy and vision are critical factors needed to succeed online. The tools you use are equally important because they are what will help you grow your business and automate a significant part of the process.
When I started my first online business, I had the shiny effect syndrome and ended up buying so many tools that I did not even need. This cost me a lot of money that I could have used to grow my business.
I do not want you to repeat my mistakes. So, I made a list of a few tools I personally use and know will help you grow your business and take it to the next level.

The Essential Tools
These tools are a must have for every blogger and even more necessary if you want to earn money from your blog. I can say that without these tools my websites would not be fast enough, good looking, and have a high conversion. My business has also improved.
Where you host your site can either make or break your business. If you choose a bad host, your site will always be down several times a week. I have experienced this personally, that is until I moved all my sites to SiteGround. My sites loading time improved, got a free SSL, and their live chat support always responds in around 2 minutes. They also transfer your site for free all for just $3.95/month which is cheaper than Bluehost.
I use Divi from Elegant Themes on some of my niche sites. Its a solid theme that you can customize any way you like. They have many themes and plugins that you can use on your site, but the one I like the most is Divi.
If you are looking for a premier feminine WordPress theme for business or blogging, then bluchic has got you covered. They have gorgeous design that will give your site a professional look. You also get editable Canva social media templates and landing page templates.
If you are starting out and are on a budget I recommend you start with MailerLite. You can use all their features such as subscriber management, campaigns, forms, newsletter automation. Its free for your first 1,000 subscribers. I used Mailchimp for a while and can say MailerLite is better.
ConvertKit is a more robust email marketing software for bloggers. It helps you use your list to grow your business through attractive forms, trackable data, and simple but powerful automation. If you want to grow a successful online business and increase conversions, then this id for you.
My go to place to register new domains. I have used Namecheap for over five years and I have never had a problem with them. I prefer to buy my domains separately from my hosting provider. Namecheap gives you a free Whois protection and can get a domain for less than $10 a year.
There are many WordPress Plugins out there and you can be tempted to install many of them. I believe these are the essential ones to get you started. Obviously, as your site grows, you will need more plugins to add to your site's functionality.
We all hate when we visit a site and it takes forever to load. You can lose customers when your website takes a long time to load. That's why I use WP Rocket to tweak my sites and make them fast. I combined it with SiteGround hosting and the results were amazing.
A good social sharing plugin lets your readers share your content across social media sites. Not all social plugins are the same. Social warfare plugin is lightweight and as a result your posts will always load faster. It is designed to make sharing on Pinterest so you can get lots of traffic.
Pretty Links is a good tool for those doing affiliate marketing on your sites. I use this tool to manage all my affiliate links and track the number of clicks and income from each offer I'm promoting. One of the first things I would advise any serious marketer to get when starting out.
I sleep better knowing my site is backed up offsite. I spend hours working on my site and it will be a disaster if anything was to happen and I couldn't bring my site back online again. Updraft lets you backup and restore your site locally, or backup to Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive, Rackspace.
Create Landing Pages
A good landing page will greatly improve your conversion rate and help you collect more leads or make more sales. Here is what I use:
Thrive Architect helps you create beautiful, engaging and visually impressive content. I have used it to create professional looking webinar pages, opt-in pages, sales pages and more. No need to buy dozens of plugins and software to build landing pages if you have this baby!
Collecting leads and generating sales is very important for a business. Unfortunately, many leave this part behind and never implement a proper strategy to generate leads. This is the tool I use on all my sites to collect leads. Its also, one of the first things I do on a new site.
With Thrive Leads you can build your email list faster. Build your list using thrivebox, sticky ribbon, opt-in widget, slide in popups and more. Place these forms on several locations on your website and collect leads. You can also A/B test your forms to see which one converts best. A very powerful lead generation plugin.
Social Media Tools
Social media is an important strategy for any business. However, it can be very time consuming. . Automating this process helps save time and grow and interact with your audience. The results I have received from these tools are impressive.
Smarter Queue helps you save time and improve your social media promotion. You can create your content calendar, share your posts across all social media channels, recycle your content so its seen by more people. What I like the most is their content curation feature that lets me browse the best content from my favorite websites, and share it in seconds.
Want to save time pinning? Then try Tailwind. You can use it to queue a whole week of pins to your Pinterest and Instagram accounts saving you time and helping you get traffic to your blog. It also has good analytics that can help you create an effective pinning strategy.
