If you value how your day starts, you must be wondering how you can make your mornings awesome. A perfect morning can determine how productive you are going to be.
Whether you are an early bird, or you wake up at 9 o’clock, it doesn’t matter. What matters is how you organize yourself to have a fantastic morning and enjoy the rest of your day. So how do you become a morning person?
From my experience, the way my day’s starts can affect my moods, and all the activities of the day.
For example, when I plan my day to day before I sleep, I wake up feeling great. The rest of the day I would be motivated to work and improve my productivity.
Are you struggling to start your day on a high note but it seems that you are procrastinating?
I used to experience that but found out how to deal with it. Since I started organizing myself, all my mornings are great.
Keep reading to find out how to be a morning person
1. Organize your next day routine at night
This may sound weird, or maybe you might feel that you don’t have the energy to do it. But think about waking up not knowing what to do?
You might want to list down your activities of the next day and plan how you are going to start. This will help you to wake up feeling organized and motivated to work.
2. A perfect morning starts with a good night
Have you ever woken up and you just feel tired and not yet ready to wake up? This mostly happens when you have had a busy and tiresome day and rest only for a few hours.
You need to have a proper rest to wake up feeling great. Otherwise, you might have to wake up with a frowny face every morning because you feel tired.
3. Prepare for your mornings in advance
We will have to agree on this.
Most mornings are usually freezing. Whenever you wake up, you might want to stay in bed since it’s too cold out there.
But I want us to solve this today.
Why don’t you prepare comfortable clothes and pairs of socks so that you can wear them? Preparing them in advance will help you to get out of your body quickly and wear them. You will also have no time to waste because you had already prepared heavy clothes to wear in the morning.
4. Clean your kitchen before going to bed
You might have to agree with me on this. It feels terrible to wake up and get dirty utensils all over your kitchen. Starting to clean the dishes and the kitchen in the morning can make you get tired first and affect the rest of your daily activities.
You should wash them in the evening before going to bed. This not only makes your next morning manageable but also saves you time in the morning, as it improves your productivity.
5. Prepare your coffee
Do you want to start your morning feeling fresh and energized? Coffee can improve your moods and help you start your day on a high note. Coffee is something that will always make you smile. In this case, you may prepare it before going to bed so that you can drink it immediately you wake up.
6. Treat yourself right the day before
I don’t know if this works for you, but many people have experienced it. If you treat yourself right today, your tomorrow is likely to be perfect.
Be kind to yourself.
Avoid thinking about the stressful events of the day or anything that might tamper with your happiness.
7. Come up with a routine that you love
I know many fitness trainers out there would recommend working out in the morning. Well, there is no problem with that. It works. But do you love it?
Let’s be sincere.
Working out can be tedious at times, and you might not feel like doing it in the morning. For this reason, you might end up feeling stressed up every morning because it’s time to work out.
What if you changed your routine and started with something that you love then work out later? If you do so, you will find that your mornings are always amazing.
8. Give yourself time
Are you the type of person who jumps out of bed immediately after waking up? That can be dangerous at times. I remember there was a time I woke up and thought that I was late. I didn’t even check my watch.
I jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom. Do you know what happened? I collapsed immediately I turned my shower on. My head was dizzy. I hadn’t given my body time to adjust to the new transition from sleeping.
Besides that, it was 3.am. From that day I realized that no matter what time you wake up, you need to give yourself time to adjust by sitting on your bed for a few minutes and wake up gently.
9. Play your favorite music
I came to realize that music can be a fantastic thing in the morning. It gives you better moods and makes you happy. Just imagine starting your day like that in the morning?
No matter how much you are in a hurry, try to switch on to your best music and listen to it as you prepare for what you are going to do during the day.
10. Take a warm shower
This sounds funny. Right? I know most of you do this. I also know that no one has to be reminded to take a shower. However, allow me to tell you. A warm shower makes you feel fresh and lighter.
As you can see, it is quite easy to be a morning person. What matters is how you organize yourself. Let me emphasize this. A routine is essential. It all depends on you.
