Hello there! Welcome to Floral and Hardie. I am so excited to have you here!!
I’m a single mom to two lovely kids. I get to stay at home and do what I love which is helping other women start their own businesses. I am one of those people who love to clean, organize things and spaces, save money, and live frugally now so that I can achieve financial freedom later on.
Most people would want to call it OCD, but no. Being clean and organized is something everyone should aspire to be. Being in a clean and organized environment is something I know you love.
I am always looking for ways to better my organization skills, to better glam up my house, my space, and to keep them looking clean.
Here, we talk about
- How you can decorate your space on a budget be it the house, office, or your lawn.
- Ways to save money
- Blogging tips
- Side hustles to make an extra buck every month
- Home organization
- Keto recipes
- Healthy lifestyle
Here is my story – the short version anyway
My husband and I got married when we were young, and soon after, we had our first baby. A few years down the line baby number two comes along, and we decided I should quit my job and be SAHM.
Five years later, when baby number one was eight years, and baby number two was slightly over five years, my husband walked out on us. After the divorce, my life was a mess.
I was broke, had 42k worth of debt, weighed 366 pounds, and my self-esteem was low. My kids were my only solace, and I didn’t want to let them down. One parent was already gone, it was up to me to ensure they have a good childhood and a bright future.
I made a plan to turn things around because I had my kids to think about. I applied to all the freelance jobs for VA’s I could find because I still loved being a stay at home mom. I told myself if it didn’t work after a month, I would apply for a job. Luckily, I got a few clients that first week, and at the end of the month, I had made $1200.
Fast forward to now…
My self-esteem is back, lost over 150 pounds – after trying a few diets and failing 🙂 at first, and in the process became healthier than I have ever been. My debt is almost paid in full, and above everything else, I get to stay at home doing what I love and be there for my kids.
Don’t quit. Whatever difficulty you are facing, you can do this! It can take time, but if you make a plan and stick to it, you can also overcome.
